HOW ARE THE NANNIES VETTED?
All Nannies and Babysitters are background, reference and police checked prior to being accepted for work. They also receive a health screening. Additionally they are interviewed in Thai and English by our management team.
WHAT TRAINING DOES MY NANNY RECEIVE?
Our Nannies all receive individualized training. All Nannies are CPR trained and trained in First Aid for Children.
WILL I HAVE THE SAME NANNY EVERY DAY?
To ensure continuity for your family, you will have the same Nanny for each day of your booking.
HOW SHOULD I BRIEF MY NANNY?
We recommend that you allow and expect a settling in period of 2 or 3 days. Please ensure that you explain your child's daily routine to the Nanny and also any "Dos" and "Dont's". There are some cultural differences to be aware of and these include sleeping (Thai's will always pick up a crying baby) and food. If you don't want your child to have ice-cream, fizzy drinks and sweeties, please tell the Nanny.
If your child needs a bottle to go to sleep or a comforter or special toy, please let the Nanny know.
WHAT TIME CAN I ASK MY NANNY TO START WORK?
Our Nannies all have flexible working hours. Start and finish times are dictated by you. Just tell your Nanny at the end of each day, what time you would like her to arrive for the next shift.
Our nannies are willing to start early to give you a lie-in and to finish late if you want a night out.
HOW WILL MY NANNY GET TO WORK?
All the Nannies travel to work by motorbike. f it rains, please allow your Nanny additional time to get to work. Safety is our primary concern and tropical rains can hit the island from time to time.
You are responsible for paying travel costs outside of the main tourist areas. If it rains, please allow your Nanny additional time to get to work. Safety is our primary concern.
WILL THE NANNY GO ON DAY TRIPS WITH US?
The Nannies work out of your Resort or Villa. If you are going on a day trip or excursion, they can go with you if you want them to.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY NANNY IS NOT A GOOD FIT WITH MY FAMILY?
Our Nannies are very adaptable and experienced in working with many different families from a wide variety of background, however very occasionally for whatever reason a Nanny may not gel within a family. If this happens, we will replace the Nanny for you with an alternative member of staff.
WILL MY NANNY SWIM WITH MY CHILDREN?
Yes. All of our Nannies can swim and will take your children swimming.
CAN I REQUEST A SPECIFIC NANNY?
You may request a specific Nanny, and we will do our best to place your requested Nanny within your family. For repeat clients we always try to allocate the same Nanny.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE BACK?
Don't worry if you are late getting back. The Nanny or Babysitter will wait for you until your return.
If you can, let the nanny know so that she does not worry.

HOW CAN I CONTACT MY NANNY?
For your own peace of mind, it is recommended that you agree a way of contacting your Nanny (and for her to contact you) when you go outside of the Resort/Villa. Some of our clients chose to buy a local SIM card, however if you chose not to obtain a local number then you can use an App such as WhatsApp or Line.
WHAT HAPPENS ABOUT MEAL BREAKS?
For shorter shifts, the Nanny/Babysitter will eat before or after her shift. For shifts of 8 hours or more, you are responsible for providing one meal for your Nanny or for providing a meal allowance of 100 THB per day. If it is practical, you may give your Nanny a short break to eat her meal.
ARE THE NANNIES EXPERIENCED AT TAKING CARE OF VERY YOUNG BABIES?
We supply Nannies to care for babies of all ages, even new borns.
HOW MANY CHILDREN CAN MY NANNY TAKE CARE OF AT ONCE?
For health and safety reasons, the maximum number of children that our Nannies can takes care of is two. The exception to this would be if one of the children is over 12 years or if the Nanny is employed as a helper and will not be left alone with the children.
WILL MY NANNY DO HOUSEWORK? COOK? DO LAUNDRY?
Nannies are supplied primarily to take care of the children. They will undertake light household duties, for example if the children are having a nap. They will organise the childrens' clothes and toys, make up and wash up baby bottles and also prepare meals for the children, according to your instructions.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I TIP MY NANNY?
Tipping is not expected but the Nannies do appreciate receiving a tip if they do a good job. 500 THB - 2000 THB is recommended depending on the duration of the job, however more or less is also acceptable.
