Easter Sunday Koh Samui

My brother arrives for Easter next Sunday with his family and being a lover of fine dining I am compelled to seek out a venue that will keep our kids of varying ages happy and entertained as well as a serving a brunch of the high standards he is used to.

Here are my top picks - the final choice will be down to him.

1. Nikki Beach

Nikki Beach is something of an institution as an international playground for the young and beautiful and on Koh Samui, for an eclectic group of locals and tourists. Easter Sunday Brunch promises a wide selection of savory bites and sweet treats. Music and entertainment by Andy Vier, Henry Jimenez, Shane Shine and Gee Sax. Games and fun for the children has also been on the menu in previous years.

The brunch buffet starts at 11.00 AM and goes until 4.00 PM, with the party and entertainment continuing until sunset. The culinary spread includes an array of action stations, including pasta, crepe, waffle, and omelette stations, and a Waygu grill station, as well as sushi platters, raw bar, salad station and Chef selected specials. The price for the Brunch is 1800 THB for adults. Complimentary towels are available.

2. InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort

3.Beach Republic

Beach Republic is a popular haunt with local expats, attracting an older crowd of revelers as well as families, on a regular basis to its renowned Sunday Brunch (from 11:30 to 15:30). A decent local DJ spins tunes until sundown. Fines de Claire oysters, Scottish salmon, Maine lobster, Thai selection, Iberico ham, Prime roast beef, roast lamb, roast turkey, terrines, sea bass, canapés, sushi, cold meats, BBQ station, international cheese board, Sunday sundaes, crème brûlée and much more is on offer.

4. The Four Seasons

Celebrate the weekend in style with the exclusive Sunday Brunch at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui.

Enjoy an afternoon of exquisite culinary pleasures, complemented by fine vintages and handcrafted cocktails—not to mention the incredible tropical vistas. The venue is KOH Thai Kitchen, perched atop a palm-clad hill and cooled by pure sea breezes. This chic restaurant makes the most of its fabulous location by blending open-air seating with contemporary Thai design. Infinite views of the Gulf of Thailand form the backdrop to a memorable meal, while live jazz music provides the perfect Sunday soundtrack.

  • THB 2,700++ (food only)

  • THB 4,200++ (food and free-flowing beverages, including house wines, selection of five cocktails by our mixologist, live stations, standard house pour of alcohol mixes, beers, soft beverages and water)

5. Centara Grand

Highly recommended award winning Sunday brunch on a lovely stretch of beach in Chaweng, COAST brings the best of sophisticated beach culture to Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui’s most exclusive stretch of sand. Stay all day to relax and explore their wide range of indoor and outdoor dining experiences. Enjoy the perfect mix of urban flair and relaxed beach vibe at this chic beach club and bistro which features lounging areas, extensive dining and drinking options, and DJ sets throughout the day up until the late hours. The grill-focused cuisine and laid-back attitude are Mediterranean in style and sensibility, while the warm service, farm-fresh local ingredients, and the venue’s architectural style are unmistakably Thai.

I have it on good authority which are the best beds to book - but that would be telling...
